APPENDAGE is not a collection of clothes. APPENDAGE exists in the foreign space of silhouettes that do not belong in conventional or traditional design. APPENDAGE captures the feeling of discomfort and unfamiliarity with shapes that expose and distort the natural form. APPENDAGE showcases the deconstructed “limbs” or remnants of what was once a garment. Beyond the styling presented here, multiple appendage pairings exist. This fluidity and vulnerability captures the elusive nature of a designer’s first thoughts and sketches. Alone – each appendage only hangs or clings to a portion of the body. Together – appendages interact to illustrate an idea.
